Ride Groups: Lime only Ratings - Technical: 5/10 Hills: 7/10 Distance: 43km Starting From: The Bird Store
Starting Time: 07:00 for 07:30
Ride Description: The same ride as the Feral on the same day except we climb to the top of Breedt's Nek for the view, we do not go down to Mountain Sanctuary area and then we return the way we came. This ride is through game reserves so there is a chance of seeing rhino and other game.
Watch out for traffic on the road. You have to let me know if you wish to participate in this group. Do not just pitch on the day. We may call it off if there are no takers. Please no green level or beginner riders!!!! You just have to be able to ride the distance and have a reasonable degree of skills. Pace is not the issue.
Directions: From Johannesburg - Take M47 past Hillfox and Ruimsig Athletic Stadium. Cross 4 way stop at N14 Krugersdorp Freeway. Continue to T Junction, turn right - continue straight on Hekpoort Rd R563 (do not take the Tarlton slip way to Magalisburg Town) At Hekpoort T junction, turn left, after approx 2km, Nooitgedacht dirt road to your right, take it. The "Bird Store" is a cafe about 50m from the turn off, park here. Please support the store as they kindly allow riders to leave their cars here From Pretoria, take the R560 to Hekpoort, then Nooitgedacht dirt road
