Starting From:  Van Gaalen’s Cheese Farm 

Starting Time:  7h30 for 8h00 

Ride Description:  This has to be the best single track in Gauteng (they tell me it is North West - not Gauteng) along the Magalies River which forms the end of your club ride.  Yellow, red and blue will first climb the Witwatersberg up some serious rocky switchbacks, then ride down a valley into a long man made shoot cut into the rock (you ride along the bottom of this), then ride the top of a berm section like Ruimsig. At this point yellow will enter the river trail section and return to Van Gaalen’s. At this point, Red and Blue climbs the Magaliesberg up towards the rock face before coming back down a long jeep and single track before the river single track. Red and blue will work hard for their money - don't lose concentration!

Van Gaalen's want R30.00 per rider to ride there from now on as Eric has put a lot of effort in. It is well worth it. Visitors/non-members an additional R30.00 per rider  to JMBC .  Do not miss this one - you will be sorry if you do!!! It will be very cold in the valley at the start.

Bring money for breakfast/lunch afterwards.
 

Directions:  Take the R512 (Malibongwe or Hans Strydom) out past Lanseria Airport, Maggies Farm (Chicken Pie), Lesedi and Nikita until you reach the T-junction at Broederstroom (17.5km from Lanseria. Turn left, and drive 6.4km and pass the Pecanwood Wimpy on your right hand side. The road now turns West and you now drive 9km until a T-junction. Turn left and immediately right into Van Gaalen's Cheese Farm. Van Gaalen's is 50kms from Fourways so give yourself time to get there.
