Starting Time: 07:00 for 07:30 

Ride Description: The basic route is fast, flat and non-technical on sandy jeep track and single track out from Rietvlei  Zoo Farm, to the Kliprivier which we cross on the outgoing and return legs over weirs (no wet river crossings). Once over the Kliprivier, much of the route is on parts of the Walkerville Classic race route.  We then come to the only hills of the route that being Wattle Grove which is part of the Walkerville race. The green group does not ride these hills or many hills at all – there is a slight uphill on the return leg after the Klipriver. If the ride is not enough for you, you can always pay Wendel to ride in Rietvlei Zoo Farm afterwards. 

If you are an absolute beginner, then 41km is probably a little far for you – you should probably have ridden about 30km before at Northern Farm which is less flat than Brackenhurst.

Non-members @R30 per rider per ride. Bring money for coffee and breakfast afterwards. 

Directions: Ride the N3 through Gilloolys interchange. Near Alberton, take the N12 westwards (to the right) . Then take the R59 Vereniging southwards (to the left) . Drive 5km and take the Swartkoppies offramp. Turn right across the highway and drive 3.4 km and turn right into Rietvlei Zoo Farm. Park in the field near The Cycle Hub bike shop.  There are no parking or entry fees because we are not riding inside Rietvlei.
