This event is for EVERYONE - yes that is YOU!

It's almost time for the annual  Omnimotion 24 Hour Mountain Bike Race at  Van Gaalens in the North West Province which will be held on the 3^rd and 4^th December 2011. JMBC will once again participate as it has almost since the 24 hour was instantiated.

24Hour racing is the most successful form of mountain biking the USA. The beauty of 24 hour racing is that riders of all fitness levels can ride and enjoy the event. Whether you are out to race or out to have fun, 24 hour racing has it all. What more could you want than to ride your bike for the whole weekend with family and friends. The camaraderie of the event is second to none, once you have competed in a 24hour you will compete in another.

It is the Woodstock of mountain biking for those of you old enough to know about the real Woodstock!  This year, JMBC will only sponsor the entry fee of teams (mixed or single gender 4 or 5 rider teams). We will not be sponsoring solo riders. This year, three quarters of the team will have to be JMBC paid up members. We will sponsor up to a maximum of 8 4-rider teams.

If you have a team for entry, then submit the names of the riders (with ID numbers, medical aids, emergency contact  names and numbers) to me as soon as possible. JMBC members (only please) who don't have a team but want to ride and be part of a team should also submit their details. We will endeavour to place you in a team of similar riding level or riders with a similar state of mind riders. We will close submissions of teams and individuals who wish to participate on Wednesday 23^rd November.
