We have changed this ride from Brackenhurst to Protea West because the clay/mud will still be horrible on the Brackenhurst trails as a result of the continued rain. Brackenhurst has been moved to the end of next month. Sorry about that!

Ride Description: Ride the standard bits of Protea Ridge plus the stuff to the West of the Paardekraal/R28 along the ridge. Awesome scenery and hills from hell. So come along - it will be good fun.

Directions: Take N14 highway heading south. Cross over big intersection with Hendrik Potgieter. Pass Silver Star Casino. Go up Krugersdorp hill. The road turns to the left on top of the hill. Keep on till Robert Broom off ramp. Take off ramp that doubles back on itself. At T-junction turn right into Robert Broom. Drive 2.7km, turn right and park in shopping centre on right (Noordheuwel Shopping Centre). The old Protea 4X4 area is on the left of Robert Broom - it is now a nursery.
